You are cordially invited to THE auction that was a lifetime in the making.
Dr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Besecker (Lynne and Joe) arrived in Lancaster in 1965 with family in tow.  Joe began his pediatric practice and Lynne started the art of “antiquing”, entertaining and decorating.  The singing and performing on stage would come much later.
Lynne and Joe were avid eclectic collectors of antiques large and small.  Items were lovingly acquired through local auctions, estate and yard sales, thrift stores and spots of interest discovered during their road and rail travels together.
Lynne was a regular at sales and befriended many dealers and auctioneers.  A stroll in the stands at Rennigers with Lynne was a place where everyone knew her name.  A move to a new home would be named “Oaklyn”.
Joe, a fisherman and one time-hunter, enjoyed collecting decoys.  Always learning, he became a self-taught porcelain collector.  His fun side enjoyed collecting toys and trucks.
Joe and Lynne navigated and loved their way through 63 years together.  It was their wish to have this auction so that the items they so enjoyed finding, sharing and collecting, would find new loving homes.
So join in, become part of a wonderful love story and own a part of Oaklyn history.
