John M. Hess (Auctioneer)

As president and founder of John Hess Auction Service, John has been serving the Lancaster, Lebanon and Berks communities for many years. Born and raised on a Lancaster County Farm, John appreciates his agricultural roots which helped foster his strong work ethic and organizational skills that are crucial components when promoting a successful auction. John’s friendly and sincere way of dealing with people is easily recognized and widely appreciated.

Phil Nissley (Auctioneer)

As partner and vice president of John M. Hess Auction Service, Inc., Phil is an asset to the Hess team.  A Lancaster County native with a life-time involvement in the local community, he brings 20+ years of experience with antiques of upper end value and rare collectibles. Phil is recognized in the business and financial community as an expert appraiser of personal property, and has extensive background in real estate auctions.

Eric Feltch (Auctioneer)

A resident of Quarryville, Eric provides over 22 years of experience in firearms, antiques, tools and industrial equipment to the team at Hess Auction Group. Eric has built relationships in his community through functioning as a local Cub Scout Pack Master as well as serving his church in New Providence. His years in the profession have given him an invaluable insight into the auction process and his client’s needs.

Alec Hess (Auctioneer)

Alec’s path to becoming an auctioneer began at a young age. He spent many days working alongside his father setting up auctions at the Hess Auction barn. This has helped him develop a deep knowledge in the auction industry. Alec is able to use that knowledge and experience to better serve our clients.

Levi Zook (Auctioneer)

Levi’s interest in the auction industry started at a young age. As an 8-year-old, you would have found him at numerous auctions with his parents. At the age of 16 he volunteered to call bids at a local benefit auction. Since then, he’s been helping at many benefit sales throughout Lancaster County and surrounding areas. He joined Hess Auction Group in 2016. Levi’s duties include inventory control, setting up sales, and calling bids.

Scott Huber

Scott joined the Hess Auction Group team as General Manager in 2009.  Since then, HAG has seen significant growth and his responsibilities now include the day-to-day operations, oversight of division team leaders and many other aspects of the business.  Scott enjoys working with both employees and customers to efficiently align all of the moving pieces together in the fast-paced auction business.  Scott is a longtime resident of Manheim and enjoys living where he works.  He also enjoys boating with the family, snowmobiling and pickleball.

Laura Nolt

Laura started with Hess Auction Group in December of 2021, and works as an administrative assistant for all divisions. She is generally the first to answer the phones, schedule appointments, and assist with any questions. Laura’s favorite part about working at Hess Auction Group is creating relationships, whether that be with customers or coworkers. She loves hearing people’s stories, and learning about the fun things that they like to collect. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, spending time outdoors, serving at church, family, and baking sourdough bread.

Robin Weaver

Robin Weaver is the Real Estate Coordinator and has been with Hess Auction Group since 2014.  She loves her job and making connections with both sellers and buyers.  She was born and raised in Ephrata but has lived in Manheim for almost 20 years. Outside of the office, she finds joy hanging out with her family including her 3 kids ages 23, 19 and 16 and dog Tucker, the cutest Golden Mountain Doodle.  She loves going on treasure hunts at thrift stores near and far, decorating her home and watching PBS Masterpiece.

Mattie Funk

Mattie is Hess Auction Group’s on-site coordinator for commercial liquidations, personal property, and online only auctions. She works closely with clients throughout the entire auction process. She has been part of the Hess Auction Group team for over 10 years. Outside of work Mattie enjoys traveling, boating and spending time with her family and friends.

Dawn Kreiter

Dawn started with Hess Auction Group in January 2019 as an administrative assistant. Since then, she has grown into the coordinator for the Premier Assets Division, which handles specialty antiques and Americana, fine art, firearms, and personal/estate collections. Although not a collector herself, she loves hearing about the history of the items, where they came from and what they were used for. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, including four grandchildren, organizing birthday dinners and get togethers, biking, hiking, reading, and crafting.

Kendra Zell

Born & raised in Manheim, Kendra began working at Hess Auction Group in 2016 as a runner at our on-site auctions, eventually becoming a clerk. In 2019, she was employed full-time as our bookkeeper after completing her bachelor’s degree at Lebanon Valley College. Kendra also manages the Personal Assets Division, which handles furniture, antiques & collectibles at our Conestoga facility and helps clerk/internet clerk at on-site auctions. When not working auctions on the weekends, Kendra can be found spending time with her family and friends, participating in church activities, boating at Raystown, gardening, or traveling in a semi- truck with her husband, Wes.

Maya Mazzur

Maya is the Advertising and Marketing Coordinator at Hess Auction Group and has been with the company since 2019. She handles everything from print advertising to social media. Mother to a spunky two-year-old, she and her husband also have two dogs, two cats, and chickens. Her hobbies include photography, reading, browsing local antique shops and gardening.
